Nicholas Lawson, Behavior Assistant
Nicholas Lawson brings several years of experience supporting children and adolescents in behavioral health, educational, and residential treatment settings. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Goldey-Beacom College and has dedicated his career to helping young people develop the skills necessary to thrive both emotionally and behaviorally.
Nicholas currently serves as a Behavioral Assistant with The Thrive Network, where he works directly with children and families to implement individualized behavioral interventions and support positive developmental outcomes. Through collaboration with parents, case managers, clinicians, and other members of the treatment team, he helps clients identify challenging behaviors, develop effective coping strategies, and build the skills needed to navigate everyday situations with greater confidence and success.
Previously, Nicholas worked as a Behavioral Assistant with Resources for Human Development, where he partnered with teachers, psychologists, and school staff to support children experiencing behavioral and emotional challenges. He assisted students in developing self-regulation skills, utilizing calming techniques, and improving classroom success while maintaining detailed documentation to monitor progress and inform treatment planning.
Nicholas's professional background also includes several years in leadership and operations management as a Store Manager with Papa John’s Pizza. This experience strengthened his communication, problem-solving, organizational, and team-building skills, all of which continue to enhance his effectiveness when working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Nicholas is passionate about empowering children and adolescents to reach their full potential. He believes in fostering supportive, strengths-based relationships that encourage growth, resilience, and self-confidence. Through patience, consistency, and collaboration, he strives to help each individual build meaningful skills that support long-term success both at home and in their communities.
