Dr. Kandice Cooper, LSW, CAAD, CSSW, CDP, DRCC
Dr. Kandice Cooper is a Licensed Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience spanning mental health, addictions, and geriatrics. She holds multiple credentials including Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified School Social Worker, Disaster Response Crisis Counselor, and Lead Police Chaplain.
Dr. Cooper earned her Associate of Science degree from the Community College of Allegheny County, a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (Cum Laude, Phi Alpha Honor Society) from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Social Work (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to earn her Master of Divinity (Summa Cum Laude, Valedictorian) and Doctor of Ministry from Cornerstone Graduate School.
Her career has included diverse roles in group homes, prisons, schools, outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, vocational rehabilitation, and intensive in-community services. She integrates evidence-based care with strong spiritual values, empowering clients to explore their thoughts, reframe unhelpful patterns, and strengthen both mental well-being and faith.
In her telehealth sessions, Dr. Cooper is passionate about guiding individuals to discover their power, purpose, promise, and potential.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Cooper enjoys dining out, traveling, shopping, church and community activities, and spending quality time with family and friends.
