Taija-Rae Moore, LSW
Taija Rae Moore is a Licensed Social Worker, where she provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults using evidence-based, client-centered approaches. She has experience conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing interventions that support emotional regulation, coping skills, co-regulation, and behavioral growth. Taija integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques into her work and has specialized experience providing play therapy for children ages 3–16, as well as supporting clients in strengthening communication and emotional awareness.
In addition to her clinical role, Taija brings a strong background in education and behavioral support. She previously served as a Special Education Teacher in the Philadelphia School District, where she provided emotional support to students and collaborated closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized education plans and foster inclusive, supportive learning environments. Her prior experience also includes roles as a Behavior Support Specialist and Community Choice Guide, working with individuals across the lifespan in community, residential, and long-term care settings. In these roles, she focused on behavioral assessment, crisis prevention, and supporting successful transitions to community living.
Taija is particularly passionate about working with middle school, high school, and young adult clients, with a special focus on youth in foster care or who have been adopted. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate life transitions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Eastern Washington University, a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Social Work from Capella University. Taija is also Safe and Sound Protocol Certified. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, staying active, spending time outdoors, reading, and connecting with friends, family, and her dogs, and she values ongoing personal growth and development.
