Nicole is a licensed social worker with a master’s degree in social work from Capella University. In parallel with Thrive’s vision, Nicole confidently provides the tools and resources to help clients stop surviving and begin to THRIVE. With a bachelor’s degree earned in psychology from Rowan University, Nicole utilizes her everlasting educational resources to understand the correlation between psychology and child development. Nicole’s drive and ambition to aid guidance to young children and their families has always been a monumental factor in becoming a social worker.
Nicole is a certified trauma-informed coach. She is trained and certified in Mental Health First Aid. She attended the Annual Play Therapy conference in 2023, which has helped strengthen her knowledge and skillset related to childhood trauma. Nicole is dedicated to her professional development and committed to expanding her social work “tool belt” in order to best serve her clients.
She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families at Thrive’s outpatient offices located in Cherry Hill and Clementon, and provides in-home therapy throughout Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties through the NJ Children’s System of Care (PerformCare).
Nicole provides a wide range of services to help individuals and families to manage mental health issues and life transitions through a traumafocused approach. She has facilitated individual and family sessions, as well as provided psychoeducation on topics such as anger management, anxiety, trauma, and attachment. When working with children, Nicole utilizes play therapy activities in order to provide each client with a safe space to non-verbally express themselves. Nicole utilizes therapeutic modalities, which includes a strength-based perspective, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing techniques and many more. She is committed to providing exceptional therapeutic services that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is a dog mom to her 4-year-old and 9-year-old chocolate labs, who always love to play tug-of-war once she returns back home after a day at the office.
