Lauree Klein, LAC

Lauree is a Licensed Associate Counselor with extensive experience providing counseling, career coaching, and educational support in both academic and clinical settings. Lauree holds a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Political Science and Childhood Studies, from Stockton University.

Lauree served as a Counselor II at Atlantic Cape Community College, supporting a diverse student population through academic advising, mental health counseling, transfer and career guidance, and financial aid appeal assistance. She managed a caseload of 400–600 students, collaborated with campus departments, and played a key role on the Behavioral Assessment Team. Beyond individual support, Lauree coordinated campus-wide events and developed workshops focused on mental health, equity, and student success.

In addition to her counseling work, Lauree taught as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology, bringing energy and clarity to the classroom while fostering student growth and engagement. Her prior clinical experience included roles at Acenda Integrated Health, Care Plus NJ, and Families First, where she provided outpatient, in-school, and in-home therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her work encompassed individual therapy, family counseling, group facilitation, and crisis intervention.

Lauree also brings a strong background in community engagement and leadership. As Graduate Coordinator for the LGBTQ Center at Montclair State University, she supervised a large peer staff, facilitated Safe Space trainings, and organized campus-wide programming to promote equity and inclusion. Earlier experiences at the Community Counseling Clinic and the Office of Service-Learning at Stockton University deepened her skills in outreach, event planning, research, and advocacy.

Passionate about diversity initiatives and student empowerment, Lauree combines counseling expertise with community organizing, public speaking, and program development. Lauree's approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness, with a special commitment to creating affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals and marginalized communities.
