Jill Chiciak, ATR-BC, LPAT
Jill is a Master’s-level, Board Certified Art Therapist who brings a deep well of creativity and compassion to her work. She offers a range of therapeutic interventions designed to help transform trauma into resilience, including sand play and play therapy, children’s yoga, Cognitive Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Grounded in the belief that healing is possible for every individual, family, group, and community, Jill takes a holistic approach that invites direct participation in the creative arts as a pathway to growth and recovery.
Her experience spans over a decade of providing trauma-informed therapy to children, adults, and families. She has worked extensively with youth and families in the foster care system, individuals impacted by various traumatic experiences, and families who have experienced domestic violence. A Licensed, Board Certified, and Registered Trauma-Informed Art Therapist in New Jersey, Jill integrates art therapy with evidence-based clinical practices to support healing, strengthen coping skills, and foster emotional regulation.
Jill earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University, where she was awarded an Academic Fellowship, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Fine Arts from Rutgers University, where she graduated with a 3.9 GPA and multiple academic honors. Her ongoing professional development includes certifications and training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the ARC-GROW model, the Nurtured Heart Approach, Cognitive Therapy through the Beck Initiative, ChildLight Yoga instruction, Sandplay Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Across her career, Jill has held clinical and supervisory roles in outpatient, in-home, and community-based settings, including The Thrive Network, Oaks Integrated Care, and Northern Children Services. Her work is characterized by a consistent commitment to helping individuals and families rebuild safety, connection, and self-worth through creative expression and compassionate presence.
