Jennifer Tapley, M.Ed, PhD (in process)

Jeni Tapley brings over 20 years of combined experience in the social services and clinical fields, with more than a decade dedicated to education at all levels. She has extensive expertise advocating for students with special needs, writing IEPs and 504 plans, developing curricula, supporting diverse learning styles, and implementing classroom management strategies. Jeni has a strong focus on accommodations for the DD/ID population and has completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.

Clinically, Jeni specializes in serving the DD/ID population, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, while also providing expert support in areas such as substance abuse recovery, domestic violence, trauma, early childhood intervention, and family systems. Her professional journey has included leadership and clinical roles across a variety of organizations, including Thrive, Inc., Twin Oaks Community Services, ASAPP Healthcare, Community Options, NJ Mentor, and The Lighthouse of Mays Landing/PESI, where she has managed large caseloads, supervised staff teams, implemented programs, and bridged educational and clinical needs for children and adolescents.

Jeni’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education from Goddard College in Vermont, with majors in Secondary Education and Curriculum Development for At-Risk Youth, and minors in Women’s Studies/Sexuality and Psychology, respectively. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Phoenix (ABD) and an MA in LMFT at Capella University.

Throughout her career, Jeni has completed extensive specialized training in play therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment-based interventions, and early childhood mental health. Most recently, she completed the Birth to Five: Helping Families Thrive Clinical Practice Series through Montclair State University’s Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health, gaining advanced competencies in infant and young child development, family-centered therapeutic practices, trauma and attachment interventions, advocacy, and reflective consultation.
