Jeff Kpolie, LSW

Jeff obtained a masters degree in Social Work at Rutgers University in NJ in 2010. He also acquired a bachelor's degree in Economics in the faculty of social sciences at Fourah Bay College, Western Area Sierra Leone in 2002.   Jeff is currently certified as a LSW in NJ and is working towards obtaining his LCSW. During his practice he has attended numerous training in behavior modification, emotional regulation to support children in the foster care system. He has also acquired training through NJ ASTA in sex specific treatment for children and adolescents in the foster care system. He has also acquired training in TF-CBT and DBT to ensure a holistic approach and evidence based practice 

Jeff has over 6 year experience as a clinician working with children in the residential and foster care system. He has also worked briefly in an outpatient setting addressing client diversified needs and concerns of all ages.  Jeff also has over 4 year experience working as a psychiatric social worker addressing discharge planning needs of adult and elderly patients voluntarily and involuntarily committed. Jeff also has over 7-year experience working with IDD adult population, providing direct support services.  Jeff is vast in conducting in-home individual therapy with youth of all ages. He also has significant dexterity in conducting group and family therapy with youth and their families. Jeff has extensive knowledge in sex education and the utilization of psychotherapy and psycho education in this domain to effect change. Jeff is also trauma focus oriented and does utilize eclectic, holistic and evidenced based approaches to help youths that have experienced complex trauma mitigate trauma responses and find their authentic self. 

Jeff enjoys his solitude and uses that time to meditate and pray. He also enjoys cooking and trying different meals. He also loves to travel to experience new horizons. Intermittently, Jeff loves to hang out with friends to socialize.
