Ebony Thomas, LAC
Ebony Thomas is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who provides compassionate, culturally responsive mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults. As a multicultural clinician, Ebony works across a wide range of presenting concerns, including attention-related challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, stress management, and major life transitions. She intentionally integrates a multicultural lens into her practice, ensuring that clients feel seen, respected, and supported within the context of their unique identities and lived experiences.
Ebony is passionate about creating safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental spaces where individuals can express themselves openly, explore their experiences, and feel genuinely understood. Her therapeutic approach is patient, attuned, and grounded in deep respect for each client’s story. She utilizes strength-based language, person-centered theory, and play-based approaches, often incorporating grounding strategies, narrative exploration, and supportive insight work to help clients move toward their personal goals.
Her clinical experience includes outpatient therapy as a counseling intern under the supervision of licensed professionals, where she conducted clinical assessments, developed individualized treatment plans, and implemented evidence-informed counseling interventions. Ebony has a growing clinical focus on building strong therapeutic relationships, thoughtful assessment, and collaborative treatment planning that empowers clients to develop coping strategies and improve overall well-being.
Outside of her professional role, Ebony enjoys music, creative expression, and trying new foods. She values time with friends, family, and the family fur babies, finds joy in the outdoors, and, when indoors, enjoys immersing herself in the suspense and storytelling of the thriller genre.
