Amy Lynn Masterton, LAC
Amy Lynn studied Psychology and Sociology as an undergraduate at Rutgers University. She earned her Master's of School Counseling at The University of Vermont in 2016. Since then, she has completed her Certificate of Graduate Studies in Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University. Amy Lynn has supported K-12 students as a School Counselor in New Jersey for six years. Prior to working in education, she supported children with behavioral and emotional challenges in a camp setting, supported adult women diagnosed with psychotic disorders in a group home setting, and volunteered at suicide and help hotlines.
Amy Lynn is skilled at working with children, adolescents, and parents around a range of issues including relationships, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and anxiety/depression. Helping individuals learn to regulate their emotions and ultimately take pride and ownership of their actions is at the forefront of her practice. She uses a variety of approaches in her work including play therapy, mindfulness, and CBT.
Amy Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, experimenting in the kitchen, gardening, and relaxing on the beach.
