Amber Jones, LSW

Amber Jones is a dedicated and compassionate social work professional with more than ten years of experience supporting youth and families across school, home, and clinical settings. She currently serves with The Thrive Network, where she has been contributing her expertise and brings a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, social-emotional development, and culturally responsive practice. Amber is licensed by the New Jersey Board of Social Work and is deeply committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through thoughtful, relationship-centered services.

Throughout her career, Amber has worked as an in-home therapist, group facilitator, literacy support teacher, and family engagement coordinator, providing both individual and family therapy while also building systems of support for children and caregivers. She is especially skilled in working with children and adolescents navigating trauma, emotional distress, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, and social-emotional barriers. Her clinical approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice, with specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and ARC Grow, a trauma-responsive parent support model designed to strengthen caregiver-child relationships. Amber also has extensive training in trauma-informed care, youth-centered therapeutic groups, and social-emotional development.

In addition to her clinical and educational work, Amber is the Founder and CEO of Queens Academy LLC, an organization she launched in 2018 to advance empowerment programming for girls. In this role, she leads organizational strategy, program development, community engagement, and advocacy initiatives while also securing funding through grant writing, partnerships, and donor cultivation. Her leadership style is collaborative and mission-driven, focused on creating inclusive environments where young people feel supported, confident, and inspired to thrive.

Amber earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and her Master of Social Work from Temple University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Learning and Organizational Change (Ed.D.) at Baylor University, further strengthening her capacity to lead, innovate, and influence systems that serve youth and families.

Outside of her professional work, Amber enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, attending Zumba classes, and writing empowering children’s books. She is passionate about creating safe, affirming spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and understood, and she centers her work on empowerment, healing, and emotional growth.
