Amber Chastine, MSW, LCSW

Amber Chastine is a licensed social worker with a master’s degree in social work from Boston University. She works with children, young adults, and families in our Egg Harbor Township outpatient center, and provides in-home therapy throughout Cape May and Atlantic counties through the NJ Children’s System of Care (PerformCare). Amber has experience in a variety of settings and with diverse populations, including nonprofits, hospitals, and classroom settings. Her areas of expertise include trauma-informed care, positive parenting, attachment theory, crisis intervention, anger management, and mindfulness. She believes in honoring individuals’ true selves through acceptance, empathy, and a focus on self-worth. She uses a strength-based approach with children and young adults to be an ally in finding their voice.

Beyond her social worker career, Amber is an Air Force veteran, earning Commendation Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and many more. She completed her undergraduate studies in the field of criminal justice and when she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Amber is trained and rostered in child-parent psychotherapy. Due to being fully telehealth these services are offered through parent coaching and parent support.
