Amber Chastine, MSW, LCSW

Amber Chastine is a licensed clinical social worker and Clinical Supervisor with The Thrive Network, where she has worked since 2020 providing fully remote services across New Jersey. She holds a Master of Social Work from Boston University and brings more than a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through comprehensive, trauma-informed care. In her current role, Amber provides clinical services while also conducting in-depth psychosocial and diagnostic assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure consistency and continuity of care. She plays a central role in clinical leadership by overseeing the internship program, including the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of interns.

Amber’s professional background includes extensive experience in family preservation, child advocacy, acute care family support, and vocational rehabilitation. Her work has involved intensive in-home counseling, crisis intervention, reunification-focused family support, and direct services within emergency screening settings for families navigating psychiatric hospitalization decisions. She has also worked with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, conducting ongoing assessments related to mental health, adverse childhood experiences, and vocational readiness while coordinating care with medical and mental health providers.

Amber has advanced training in infant and early childhood mental health and is a trained Child-Parent Psychotherapy provider. She is clinically trained in DC 0–5 diagnostic classification and integrates evidence-based models including attachment-focused care, trauma- and stress-related disorder treatment, positive parenting approaches, and early childhood developmental frameworks. Her additional training includes the Nurtured Heart Approach, Keys to Interactive Parenting Scale, Brazelton Touchpoints, and specialized coursework in child trauma, adult trauma, and grief-related disorders. Now working exclusively via telehealth, Amber offers child-parent psychotherapy through parent coaching and parent support services.

Amber approaches her work through a strengths-based, relational lens, grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. She is deeply committed to empowering families, supporting clinician development, and fostering resilience and self-worth in the children and caregivers she serves.
