Taryn is a Master’s level clinician, board-certified in Music Therapy. Specializing in trauma-informed care, she loves to support an individual’s integration of self via client engagement in a variety of empowering creative and musical experiences. Taryn’s experience in behavioral inpatient has prepared her well for clients in need of crisis intervention. Taryn prefers a family-systems approach, when available, for treating clients and utilizes community music therapy and feminist music therapy ideals to help inform her clinical practice.
Taryn’s talents include song writing with clients, singing, and playing multiple instruments, some of which can be utilized in therapy. While at Arizona State University, her Pre-Clinical clients included young adults with traumatic brain injury (TBI), “Rainbow Connection” choir of young adults on and off the autism spectrum, “Guitars for Vets” (G4V) National Organization, and older adults with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. Taryn brings an exciting array of talents and skills to Thrive.
